FLICK CLUB v0.7.4


It's the last month of 2021, and we got a lot of work to do. It's starting to become evident that we're not going to have the game 100% complete by the end of the year as planned, but we're feeling pretty confident that Zeta's story mode campaign will make it in before 2022. In the meantime, we got a new update that polishes several aspects of the game and refines versus play. The end is near.

Speaking of versus play, there's an unofficial FLICK CLUB tournament scheduled for Frosty Faustings. I sadly won't be able to make it, but if you're gonna be there, you can sign up for it here.

Version 0.7.4 changelog:

  • We got a shiny new curtain
  • Specials now hit faster (the 1.5 second delay after match is now 0.5 seconds)
  • One chain can activate multiple specials, if more than one line of gold emblems is cleared (Yoco calls these Double Impacts [DI], and to be honest I'm struggling to think of a hornier term for them)
    • DI Bandage & Squeaky Hammer heal/damage twice as much respectively
    • DI Blind and Heat double the duration of these effects
    • DI Tickle also randomizes the target's gold emblems
  • Music is changeable via the pause menu in all modes
  • New sound effects added
  • Hopefully that SFW tutorial bug is fixed for good this time
